The Mobile and Intelligent Computing (MIC) Lab at SF State makes AI efficient, adaptive, deployable and trustworthy on resource-constrained devices such as smartphones, wearables and microcontrollers. Our research spans efficient AI computing (model acceleration, LLM compression and adaptation, and federated learning), intelligent sensing and neural-machine interfaces for rehabilitation and prosthetics, and AI for engineering education, built through interdisciplinary collaborations.
